Position Information

Essential Job Duties

· Lead research in evaluating COVID-19 impacts on timber markets, forest landowners, and forest management in the U.S. South

· Lead a regional landowner survey to examine COVID-19 impacts on forest landowners and to explore the issues and opportunities in post-pandemic forest management in the U.S. South.

· Assist PI in research, teaching, and publications in forest economics, policy and management, as required

Other Work/Responsibilities

· Assist PI in supervising graduate students · Serve in departmental needs, as required

Work Schedule M-F 8 am to 5 pm (hybrid in-person and remote)

Department Required Skills

Ph.D. Degree in the field of natural resource economics, economics, forest economics, forestry, social sciences, agricultural economics, environmental science or related degree

Preferred Years Experience, Skills, Training, Education

Strong econometric and statistical training; experience in survey development and administration; causal inference analysis

Required License or Certification

No

Recruitment Anticipated Hiring Range $50,000-60,000/ Yearly
