  • About This Opportunity

    This is an exciting opportunity for a Postdoctoral Research Fellow to focus their efforts on developing their expertise and emerging research profile in their discipline. At this level it is expected that the incumbent will contribute to service and engagement roles and activities.

    The successful applicant will conduct research in the area of improving health outcomes for musculoskeletal injury following motor vehicle crashes within the NHMRC CRE: Better Health Outcomes for Compensable Injury. This CRE is funded by a $2.5 million NHMRC grant to address the urgent need to improve health outcomes for individuals with non-catastrophic road traffic injury (RTI) through translational research, capacity building and end-user engagement focused on health, compensation and legal systems.

    About You

  • Completion or near completion of a PhD in a relevant area e.g., allied health, health services research discipline area.

  • An emerging profile in research in the area of musculoskeletal pain and injury.

  • Evidence of publications in reputed refereed journals and presenting at conferences.

  • Evidence of contributions towards successfully obtaining external research funding.

  • Some experience in meaningful internal service roles and contributions towards external activities.

    This is a part-time (80%) fixed-term position through to 31 December 2024 at Academic Research Level A.

    The full-time equivalent base salary will be in the range $72,144 - $96,530 plus super of up to 17%. The total FTE package will be in the range $84,408 – $112,940 per annum.
