Postdoctoral Research Associate (Fixed Term)

Applications are invited for a 24-month postdoctoral research associate position within the Williams-Gray lab. The lab works at the interface of clinical and laboratory science, aiming to better understand the clinical heterogeneity of Parkinson's disease and the underlying biological basis of this, with a view to developing more targeted and personalized therapies. The successful candidate will contribute to an expanding programme of research investigating how gut dysfunction and immune activation interact to drive the progression of Parkinson's disease. The post holder will lead clinical research studies assessing gut symptoms and function alongside blood and faecal biomarkers, and will contribute to the design and conduct of interventional studies.

We seek applicants with a PhD in neuroscience, relevant experience in patient- facing research, and specialist knowledge in the field of gut function and Parkinson's disease. The post holder will work within a close clinical and scientific team of research assistants, PhD students, post-doctoral researchers and clinicians. They will be expected to work in a team environment and to support and contribute to other related collaborative projects.
