  • Organisation/Company: CNRS
  • Research Field: Physics
  • Researcher Profile: Recognised Researcher (R2)
  • Application Deadline: 09/08/2021 23:59 - Europe/Brussels
  • Location: France › TALENCE
  • Type Of Contract: Temporary
  • Job Status: Full-time
  • Hours Per Week: 35
  • Offer Starting Date: 04/10/2021
  • Your activity will consist of: + Prepararation of the samples and performing characterization experiments (absorption, fluorescence, ...) + Performing time-resolved absorption experiments at the femtosecond and picosecond time-scale and in the UV domain; visible and near IR. + Performing time-resolved fluorescence and absorption experiments on the femtosecond and picosecond scale using a streak camera. + Writing progress reports, conference proceedings and publications in peer- reviewed journals.

This postdoc project is part of an ANR project around the study and characterization of gold or silver nanoparticles onto which organometallic complexes are grafted. The synthesis of its nanoparticles will be carried out by our chemist colleagues. Your mission will consist in characterizing the modification of the optical properties of its nanoparticles in solution during their excitation by femtosecond and picosecond pulses whose spectrum will be centered in the UV, visible and infrared range. Our objective will be to demonstrate the impact of plasmon resonance of metalilic nanoparticles on the optical (absorption and fluorescence) and magnetic properties of grafted organometallic complexes.

The LOMA UMR 5798 is a laboratory of the research of the university of Bordeaux it also attached with the CNRS. The laboartory belonging to the department of physics ismade up of three research teams dealing with fundamental and applied subjects. The topics covered touch on materials for photonics, condensed matter physics, soft matter and biophysics. The research carried out is both theoretical and experimental. Within the photonics and materials team comprising 19 researchers and teacher-researchers, you will work in the PULS group and you will be in direct interaction with several doctoral students, post-docs and researchers.
