The role/Te mahi
We are seeking an enthusiastic and driven Postdoctoral Fellow to join a team working on using hologenomics to understand success and failure in insect biocontrol. You will join a large laboratory working on many aspects of animal development, genomics and evolution.
This position is funded by a Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment (MBIE) Endeavour Grant, located with Professor Peter Dearden in the Department of Biochemistry.
This project provides an exciting opportunity to generate new ideas on how to understand and assess the efficacy of biocontrol systems, using cutting edge genomic techniques. The outcomes of this project will be new knowledge and tools to predict the success of biocontrol releases before they occur, improving our pest control options.
