We are looking for:
The Division of Animal Welfare (Prof. Hanno Würbel) at the University of Bern has a special research focus on animal research ethics and quality of animal research. In collaboration with the Institute for Biomedical Ethics (Prof. Bernice Elger) at the University of Basel and the Working Memory, Cognition and Development Laboratory (Prof. Evie Vergauwe) at the Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences at the University of Geneva, we are currently looking for a dynamic and independent postdoctoral student, who is interested in coordinating and managing a Feasibility study on preregistration of animal research in Switzerland.
Tasks
It will collect quantitative and qualitative data using a mixed-methods approach, involving a survey among Swiss animal researchers, semi-structured interviews, workshops and focus groups involving representatives of relevant stakeholders. The project aims to assess the feasibility and develop a concept for the implementation and appropriate use of preregistration in animal research.
Requirements
You have a University degree and PhD in social sciences or a related field including experience in qualitative and quantitative methods, excellent knowledge of research methods and statistics, you are proficient in English and able to speak and understand German (ideally also French), and you have strong organizational skills and an ability to work independently.
