At the School of Health, Care and Social Welfare our students are studying to be for example behavioural scientists, public health scientists, physiotherapists, nurses, social workers and specialist nurses. Here we have the research specialisation of Health and Welfare. Our work takes place in cooperation with and in strategic agreements with county councils, municipalities and companies in the region.

Employment information

Work duties

We are looking for a post-doc with experience of intervention research. The employment comprises 80% research and 20% teaching over two years. The teaching part will be located in a domain that matches your expertise and/or previous teaching experience at first-cycle, second cycle and/or third-cycle level. The research part includes the coordination and collection of data in two intervention studies within the framework of the SOFCO project (concept for the sustainable offices of the future).

The project is interdisciplinary and the overall purpose is to promote a healthy working life and lifestyle as well as to contribute to sustainable development. The project includes two intervention studies:

  • A study on green office work – in indoor and outdoor environments. Data collection includes web-based surveys, interviews, measurement with stress bracelet and eye tracking glasses.

  • A study of sustainable lifestyle and health with a focus on food habits, physical activity and sustainable development. Data collection includes web-based surveys, biological samples and photo documentation using an app.

  • Data will be collected in Stockholm and Västerås area.

    When working as a postdoctoral researcher with us, you will be part of an interdisciplinary research group comprising two doctoral students, one post- doc and seven senior researchers. You will have the opportunity to participate in research meetings and seminars, write scientific articles and applications, participate in international conferences and collaborate with our colleagues at Linköping University, Karolinska Institutet, Oxford University, The University of Bicocca-Milano and Stanford University and the companies involved in the project.

    The applicant shall have been awarded a Degree of Doctor in work-life studies, psychology, sociology, public health, or a related subject

    The candidate shall have been awarded a Degree of Doctor at least 3 years before the application period expires.

    Coordination, collection, management and analysis of data are central aspects of the position and applicants are expected to be very organised, show attention to detail, be able to work independently and cooperate with colleagues.

    Additional qualifications

    Other qualifications considered to be advantageous are documented experience of working with work-life research, coordinating and collecting data on lifestyle and/or work-life related exposures in intervention studies and conducting statistical analyses. In addition, excellent knowledge of Swedish and English, both in writing and orally, is an asset as well as previous experience of teaching.
