£25,642 rising to £26,396 pro rata Part Time, Fixed Term - Research
This is a part time post working 18.5 hours per week, fixed term for 1 year.
The Oxford Brookes Centre for Nutrition and Health (OxBCNH), within the Faculty of Health and Life Sciences, is looking for an enthusiastic Postgraduate Research Assistant. The successful candidate will join our diverse team in collaboration with The University of Melbourne, Australia and will be involved in an applied nutrition research study investigating the prospective relationships of Dietary Inflammatory Index scores on clinical progression in people with multiple sclerosis. This will involve undertaking a data analysis quantitative research study, including the day-to-day running of the trial, data management and writing of publications. We are looking for someone who will become part of our thriving research team who will be an independent researcher, with support from the Line Manager and wider research team.
Your main responsibilities will be:
We are looking for a passionate graduate who is keen to be involved in research and has experience of working in Nutrition, Dietetics, Public Health or Epidemiology or equivalent relevant experience. The candidate should also have experience of research in Public Health or Epidemiology, preferably in a Nutrition and/or Dietetics related field, experience and proficiency in data management and analysis using SPSS, STATA or other statistical packages, and can demonstrate ability to collect and collate information accurately and reliably and maintain accurate research records. Training will be given as required.
