Post-Doctorat (H/F) : Synthesis Of Nanoporous Materials

Universities and Institutes of France

France

October 28, 2021

Description

  • Organisation/Company: CNRS
  • Research Field: Chemistry Physics
  • Researcher Profile: Recognised Researcher (R2)
  • Application Deadline: 28/10/2021 23:59 - Europe/Brussels
  • Location: France › CAEN
  • Type Of Contract: Temporary
  • Job Status: Full-time
  • Hours Per Week: 35
  • Offer Starting Date: 01/01/2022
  • The Post Doc will be in charge of the new synthesis of zeolites and zeotype materials. A particular attention will be paid on the new structures and scale up of the synthesis. The pore structure, diffusion, adsorption and desorption phenomena within the zeolites will be studied. The optimization of the zeolite synthesis will be carried out in order to obtain materials with excellent CO2 capacity and controlled diffusion.

Development of new methodology for synthesis of nanoporous material (zeolites and zeotypes) with minimal diffusion pathlengths and high selectivity determined by surface characteristics and bulk porosity. Creation of an extended database (The Library) of zeolites and nanoporous materials.

The project will take place within the framework of the Center for zeolites and nanoporous materials, Label d'excellence - CNRS managed by Dr. Svetlana Mintova ( Director of Recherche, CNRS, LCS UMR 6506, Caen). The work will be carried out at LCS - Laboratoire Catalyse & Spectrochimie (https: // www. lcs.ensicaen.fr) located in Caen (Normandy). The LCS has built its reputation on the preparation of zeolites and related porous materials, operando spectroscopy and catalysis. Combining very strong poles in synthesis, infrared spectroscopy, but also in NMR and Raman spectroscopy, LCS occupies a unique place to perform competitive research of the highest level in the field of porous nanomaterials. The selected candidate will be attached to UMR6506.

    Eligibility criteria

    - Must have a doctorate in chemistry, chemical engineering or material science. - A relevant experience in materials chemistry is mandatory. - An experience in characterization of inorganic materials will be highly appreciated (IR, XRD, TEM, SEM, TG) -We are looking for a highly motivated candidate to be the link between two teams working in material science - Efficient in oral and written communications. - Mastery of oral and written English is mandatory. .
