The Hybrid Nanomaterials Lab in the Department of Chemical and
Biomolecular Engineering at the NYU Tandon School of Engineering is seeking to
hire a Post Doctoral Researcher to join an exciting project on
nanocrystal infrared detectors. New York University (NYU) is one of the top

This project involves the synthesis of infrared active colloidal quantum dots
and their physical, chemical, structural, optical and electrical
characterization followed by fabrication and device characterization of
infrared detectors. Candidates will be responsible for initiating and driving
a multi-institute collaborative project and perform work in a
Tandon faculty and students are at the forefront of the high-tech start-up
culture in New York City and have access to NYU's Global Network University.

This is a one year appointment, starting as early as October 15, 2021, with
one year planned renewal contingent on performance and continued funding.
The successful candidate will be driven, creative and team-oriented with a
passion for developing nanomaterials. We are seeking individuals with a strong
background in chemistry, physics, engineering, and/or materials design, and/or
related field. Proficiency in colloidal quantum dots synthesis and/or device
fabrication/characterization is required. We welcome applicants from recent
PhDs and individuals seeking additional postdoctoral training. Eligible
