We are looking for an agricultural scientist who has experience in working at
crop, cropping systems or farming systems level. You will work on projects
related to estimating and understanding crop production, yield gaps and
resource use efficiency of multiple crops, including potato and cereal crops.
Important aspects of the work will be analysis of data for scientific
publications as well as summarizing information such that this can be used by
stakeholders (incl. farmers).
You have expertise in the application of quantitative systems analysis to
complex problems, including the use of crop growth simulation, statistical
methods and possibly optimisation models. You have experience of working in
interdisciplinary teams and in translating your results into policy and
