Post-Doctoral Research Position In Synthetic Organic Chemistry – Phosphorus Chemistry

Universities and Institutes of France

France

October 15, 2021

Description

  • Organisation/Company: Université Le Havre Normandie
  • Research Field: Chemistry › Organic chemistry
  • Researcher Profile: First Stage Researcher (R1)
  • Application Deadline: 15/10/2021 00:00 - Europe/London
  • Location: France › Le Havre
  • Type Of Contract: Temporary
  • Job Status: Full-time
  • Hours Per Week: 35
  • Offer Starting Date: 01/02/2022
  • The project is part of a research program recently initiated in our group and dedicated to the synthesis and evaluation of phosphiraniums ions, a relatively unexplored class of phosphorus compounds. The research project will focus on the development of original methodologies for the generation of these strained phosphorus cations and their C‑centered ring-opening with nucleophiles. A part of the work will also be directed towards a better understanding of these unknown species reactivity. This project will be part of an ANR program and will be carried out in collaboration with Dr. Sami Lakhdar from LHFA (Laboratoire Hétérochimie Fondamentale et Appliquée – Université Paul Sabatier - Toulouse) specialized in phosphorus and physical organic chemistry. The postdoctoral researcher will be in charge of the experimental work including products identification and characterization (using classical spectroscopic techniques), the writing of scientific reports and publications.
