Applicants are invited for appointment as Post-doctoral Fellow under Department of Surgery to commence as soon as possible for two years, with the possibility of renewal.
Applicant should have a Ph.D. degree and extended experience in molecular biology, human genetics or bioinformatics. The appointee will join a research team to study the genetic etiology of congenital disorders, including biliary atresia and congenital bile-duct dilatation. The research goals are to understand the underlying pathological mechanisms, to discover novel clinical and molecular markers, and to stratify patients based on genetic risk profile. Those having experience in analyzing large-scale sequencing and/or multi-omics datasets will be preferred. Applicant should have experience in Unix command line interface and possess the ability to use basic programming languages such as R. Applicant should also have excellent communication skills in English, be self-motivated, independent, and able to work under a multidisciplinary team environment.
