Applications are invited for appointment as Post-doctoral Fellow in the School of Biomedical Sciences (Ref.: 523467), to commence as soon as possible for one year, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance.
Applicants should possess a PhD degree in Chemistry, Biomedical Sciences, Biochemistry, or a related discipline. They should have strong background and research experience in at least one of the following areas: (1) Chemical biology; (2) Medicinal chemistry; (3) Organic synthesis; (4) Proteomics. They should be self-motivated, responsible and able to work independently as well as in a team. Preference will be given to those with expertise in chemoproteomics, medicinal chemistry and therapeutic covalent ligands.
The appointee will work on interdisciplinary projects related to the development of novel therapeutic agents targeting cancer-related proteins for therapy. These are collaborative projects, involving labs with expertise in chemistry, cancer biology, cell biology and immunology. The appointee will have a good opportunity to learn and perform state-of-the-art research for drug target identification and drug development.
