Duties and Responsibilities

  • Conduct atomistic simulations and finite-element analysis on structural materials
  • Drafting proposals, reports and presentations relevant to the projects
  • Handle other relevant tasks as assigned by the supervisor(s)
  • Requirements

  • A PhD degree in Solid Mechanics, Materials Science or related disciplines
  • Preferably with research experience in damage mechanics, machine learning, molecular dynamics and high-entropy alloys (HEAs)
  • Fluent in English in both writing and verbal communications; clear and concise writing skills
  • Good time management with a strong sense of responsibility and research ethics
  • Mature, self-motivated, confident, responsible, team-player and able to work under pressure

    The appointment will commence as soon as possible on a 2-year temporary basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability.
