Title Post-Doctoral Appointee in Microbiology and Immunology

Specific Title Appointment Type Postdoctoral Fellow Department IUSM - Terre Haute (MEDT) Campus IU School of Medicine Terre Haute Position Summary

Indiana University School of Medicine – Terre Haute will be hiring a postdoctoral associate interested in investigating the role of the transcription factor T-bet in mediating innate and adaptive immunity against the intracellular pathogens Salmonella and Toxoplasma. The research will be focused on how T-bet regulates innate immune cells to effectively and rapidly clear the pathogens during systemic and mucosal infections. The minimum requirement is a Ph.D. in microbiology, immunology, or related field. A competitive candidate will possess a strong background in cell and molecular biology, microbiology, and immunology techniques, including microbial culture, flow cytometry, quantitative PCR, and animal model development. The successful candidate will speak and write English fluently and have published in peer- reviewed journals.
