Position Overview

Primary Purpose of Position

The Computer Science Department at NC A&T State University invites applications for a full-time, postdoctoral research associate position in cybersecurity, data science, and artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning. This is a non-tenure-track and four-year appointment. We thus look for applicants that have a demonstrated track record in cybersecurity, data science, and AI and machine learning. The employee will carry out research on AI-enhanced cybersecurity, trustworthy and explainable AI, and adversarial machine learning under the faculty and normal conditions. The employee will be a member of the Center for Cyber Defense. The employee will be supporting Trustworthy CPDS via AI and Shared Autonomy (TCASA), funded by the Office of Naval Research, project through original research, collaboration with other team members, development and internal evaluation of reports, facilitating the research meetings within the team, mentoring students, and technically and financially overseeing projects' milestones. The employee will also contribute to additional proposal efforts, thereby strengthening North Carolina A&T State University's ability to attract external funding. The employee will publish research results, in collaboration with Professor, in recognized journals. The employee will share student mentoring with Professor and will participate in departmental seminars and other professional activities as assigned. The candidate will also be working with both graduate and undergraduate students in a mentoring role and will be involved in conducting workshops, and seminars. Minimum Requirements

1. Ph.D. awarded within the last five years in Computer Science or related area, specializing in Cybersecurity, AI and Machine Learning. 2. A strong theoretical and experimental background with evidence of skills related to AI and machine learning and their applications to cybersecurity. 3. The candidate is expected to have good skills in writing scientific papers and technical reports.
