  • The tasks will include: conducting bioinformatic and chemometric analyses of data using multivariate analysis and artificial neural networks via specialized statistical software as Matlab or Statistica, familiar with the C ++ programming environment. Dissemination of results in the form of publications and presentations at scientific conferences.

    Selection process

    Documents should be submitted to the office of the Centre for Modern Interdisciplinary Technologies NCU in Toruń, ul. Wileńska 4 room A 1.28 or e-mail to project manager dr hab. Paweł Pomastowski, prof UMK: before October 11, 2021

    The message should be titled: "Post-doc1 - competition for the project Opus 20 "A new approach to imaging and rapid microbiome identification in evaluation radiotherapy effects"

    The contest will be adjudicated no later than November 01, 2021

    The conditions of employment:

    - Remuneration: PLN 10,000.00 gross / gross per month (gross amount + employer's surcharges)

    - The candidate will receive remuneration in the form of an full-time employment contract, for a period of 33 months.

    Selection of the candidates will be based on evaluation of submitted documentation and on the interview with selected candidates.

    The Competition Commission reserves the right to notification of the decision, only the selected candidate.

    The competition is open to persons who meet the conditions set out in Article 113 of the Act of 20 July 2018 - Law on higher education and science (Journal of Laws of 2018, item 1668) and the following qualification criteria:

    - doctoral degree (obtained no earlier than 7 years before the year of employment in the project) in the field of engineering and technical sciences in the discipline of chemical engineering or in the field of exact and natural sciences in the discipline of chemical sciences;

    - experience in chemometric and bioinformatic analysis of spectrometric data (data preparation and analysis);

    - experience in the use of advanced chemometric statistical techniques, in particular multivariate analysis, methods of artificial neural networks for the interpretation of data obtained from the analysis of biological samples;

    - practical programming skills in C ++ or R and practical ability to work with programs based on this environment;

    - knowledge of electrophoretic techniques, spectrometric and spectroscopic techniques;

    - independence in preparing publications for English-language scientific journals, international conference presentations;

    - independence in conducting experimental research and perfect organization of daily work;

    - scientific achievements documented by publications in renowned international journals and active participation in scientific conferences;

    - laboratory experience acquired in other research units;

    - computer skills, including the Microsoft Office suite.
