  • Title: Conductive hydrogel-based composite materials for flexible energy conversion and storage devices. The goal of the research project is to develop and investigate new composite materials based on conductive hydrogel in the form of fibers as flexible materials for energy conversion and storage. The project involves using the electrospinning technique for the fabrication of composite materials based on electrically conductive hydrogels. The first task will include the development of conductive hydrogels with appropriate electrical conductivity, degree of swelling, porosity, and mechanical properties. For this purpose, several variants of hydrogels in combination with conductive particles or conductive polymers will be tested. As the 2nd task, the homogeneous suspension process of the catalyst particles in the hydrogel structure by ultrasounds treatment will be developed and optimized. Next task will be to create mats of hydrogel fibers via the electrospinning technique. In this case, the fibers will be electrospun onto support, which will serve as a substrate for elastic hydrogel fibers. The last task is cover the evaluation of the applicability of the created 3D composite materials based on hydrogel in electrochemistry as catalytic electrodes and supercapacitors. Temporty (3 years), full-time post-doc position (Assistant Professor in Research) in polish NCN project no. 2021/43/D/ST5/01828 titled "Conductive hydrogel-based composite materials for flexible energy conversion and storage devices". The reseracher will be responsible in the project for: (a) Design and optimization the best method for the synthesis of conductive hydrogels with the use of conductive polymers; (b) Tests of electronic conductivity of prepared hydrogel structures; (c) Sample preparation and electrochemical analysis of homogeneous and fibrous hydrogel structures as materials for use in OER and as supercapacitors (d) Data analysis, reporting, manuscript preparation, and (e) Participation in international scientific conferences.
