Post-Doc Bioinformatician In Lymphoma Biology

Universities and Institutes of France

July 8, 2021

  • Organisation/Company: CNRS – Inserm – Aix Marseille University
  • Research Field: Medical sciences › Medicine
  • Researcher Profile: Leading Researcher (R4) Established Researcher (R3)
  • Application Deadline: 08/07/2021 21:00 - Europe/Athens
  • Location: France › marseille
  • Type Of Contract: Temporary
  • Job Status: Full-time
  • Hours Per Week: 40
  • Offer Starting Date: 01/07/2021
  • The post-doctoral fellow will join the team of Sandrine Roulland at the Centre d'Immunologie de Marseille -Luminy (Marseille, France). The team is interested in (epi)genetic deregulations associated with the development and progression of lymphoid malignancies in human and mouse models.

The candidate will be in charge to analyze, integrate and interpret large- scale genomic data - with an emphasis on single-cell RNA sequencing data - to dissect and model the cellular heterogeneity of malignant B cells both in mice and mouse models and to determine the functional dynamics operating in these cells in relation to their immune microenvironment. Through cross-analyses, we also aim to decipher the biological mechanisms underlying relapse and resistance to therapy. The post-doctoral fellow will have to:

    - Ensure statistical and bioinformatics analysis of single-cell RNA-seq data generated by the team in lymphoma patients and animal models

    - Implement and develop new statistical methods and automated pipelines to analyze and visualize large sets of high throughput sequencing data

    - Analyze and interpret the results, communicate with collaborators and produce scientific publications.

He/She will be hosted within a team of bioinformaticians with experience in the conception and development of single-cell data analysis pipelines.

    Offer Requirements Skills/Qualifications

    Required skills:

    - Advanced proficiency in R and PYTHON programming as well as tools ensuring reproducibility of analyses (Docker...) and version management (svn, git...).

    - Proficiency in the software required for the analysis of genomic data (STAR, picard, samtools, DEseq, EdgeR, Seurat, Monocle...).

    - Fluency in written and oral scientific English.

    - Practical understanding of mathematical methods for multidimensional data analysis (PCA, t-SNE, statistical learning, etc.) Experience with single- cell data would be a plus.

    - Knowledge of system administration under Unix/Linux, Shell.

    - Ensure scientific monitoring of analytical methods.

    - Dynamism, autonomy, initiative, organizational skills, and adaptability.
