Skills/Qualifications
Expected competencies: degree in physical science, teamwork skills; knowledge of the use of IR spectrum assessment programs, knowledge of the use of computer programs for conformational and vibrational evaluation of chemical compounds
Knowledge, skills and abilities regarding the chemical analysis of gaseous pollutants in the gaseous phase, the use of the gas phase reaction chambers, the synthesis and generation of interested atmospheric radicals, the use of spectral and chromatographic techniques in determining the behaviour of pollutants in the atmosphere, the separation and identification of gaseous compounds and aerosol from the atmosphere.
Specific Requirements
• To know how to work with FT-IR spectrometers with increased optical path
• To know how to work with the OPUS IR spectra operating program
• To know how to work with chambers for simulating chemical reactions in the atmosphere of the ESC-Q-UAIC type.
• To know how to take gaseous samples from the atmosphere and from reaction chambers.
