Ming Wai Lau Centre for Reparative Medicine (MWLC) aims to contribute to the
improvement of human health by conducting cutting-edge research in reparative
medicine and related subjects, by creating a new platform for synergies
between academia and innovation in Sweden and Hong Kong as well as China and
fostering future leaders in both academia and industry.
MWLC has two nodes, one in Hong Kong and one in Stockholm, currently with 4
scientific teams, respectively, specialising in different aspects of
reparative medicine. The ten teams closely interact as one centre for
collaborative efforts via a series of workshops and seminars interchangeably
held in Hong Kong and Stockholm, as well as other routine investigator-

Description of the Bioinformatics platform
The Bioinformatics platform provides highly specialised bioinformatics
support in the areas of genomics, epigenomics, transcriptomics, proteomics,
CRISPR genome editing and systems biology. The bioinformaticians collaborate
with researchers at MWLC and Hong Kong universities. The platform serves as a
knowledge base connecting bioinformatics know-how already present in
individual research groups of MWLC in Stockholm and Hong Kong.
We are seeking a highly motivated Bioinformatician to join our team.

planning, data management, analysis and interpretation of the data, as well as
preparing scientific publications for high profile journals. The projects
combine concepts of genomics, epigenomics and technology, including whole
genome sequencing, single-cell profiling and ChiP-Seq.
We welcome applications from candidates with a PhD degree in bioinformatics,
computer science, biostatistics or other relevant fields. Both fresh Ph.D.
graduates and experienced postdoctoral researchers are welcome to apply.
Applicants with a bachelor / master degree and substantial relevant experience
will also be considered.
Required skills of the successful candidate:
Experience in genomics research involving the analysis of next generation
sequencing data, such as RNA-seq, ChiP-seq or ATAC-seq data, with a proven
