Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey is seeking a Postdoctoral Fellow in the department of Medicine – Endocrinology for the Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School.
The lab of Dr. Moshmi Bhattacharya at Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Postdoctoral research fellow to carry out studies related to metabolic diseases using transgenic mouse models. The Bhattacharya lab has a particular interest in obesity and fatty liver disease. This a grant-funded position is available immediately. Expertise in the use of transgenic mouse models, mammalian cell culture techniques and background in cell and molecular biology with technical knowledge in basic biochemical techniques, including IHC/IF, FACS, siRNA, protein and nucleic acid chemistry is required. Background in lipid metabolism and high-throughput data analysis is preferred. Strong communication skills and proficiency in spoken and written English is required. Salary will be commensurate with experience and follow NIH and Rutgers guidelines. Among the key duties of this position are the following:
