instruction. All degrees must come from accredited institutions. Strong
consideration will be afforded to candidates who exhibit a demonstrated record
of professional experience and success in undergraduate teaching. The
successful candidate must be able to teach online.

Instruction of Political Science and Public Administration
Established in 1887 as a school for the education of American Indians, The
University of North Carolina at Pembroke serves a distinctly diverse student

Located in the heart of Pembroke, N.C., UNCP boasts an enrollment of 8,200 in
41 undergraduate and 18 graduate programs and offers a personalized learning

academic standards, creative activity and public service. Spread over 281
acres, the campus offers a sense of community and belonging-–a place where
faculty and staff feel supported, take pride in the university's mission, and

The Department of Political Science and Public Administration has need for
part-time or adjunct faculty to teach courses online using the Canvas LMS.
While there may be need from time to time for a broad variety of courses, the
Department is seeking applicants to teach in the following subjects:
Introduction to Political Science, American National Government, State and
Local Government and Administration, Writing for Political Science, general
public administration courses, and other courses as needed. The Department of
Political Science and Public Administration provides students with four
concentration areas: general political science, public policy and
administration, international studies, and pre-law. The Department also
provides a robust set of classes for the Bachelor of Interdisciplinary Studies
program in Public and Non-profit Management.

These positions are especially suited for potential faculty who possess Ph.D
in Political Science or Public Administration OR a Master's Degree in
Political Science, Public Administration, or a related field that includes a
minimum of 18 hours of graduate work in the area of instruction. All degrees

teaching. Excellence in teaching and learning conducted within a rigorous and

Department has a strong commitment to undergraduate teaching and part-time
faculty are expected to exhibit and maintain campus and department standards.
Familiarity with the Canvas LMS is preferred. Candidates will be required to
demonstrate the ability to provide an engaging online learning environment.
