Police Officer: The officer is to perform law enforcement duties on the property under the control and jurisdiction of the University of Texas System.
Cadet: Attends classes, maintains comprehensive notebooks, and completes homework assignments.

Working Conditions Special Conditions for Eligibility
Must successfully pass a thorough background investigation and meeting TCOLE licensing eligibility. Must have an acceptable driving record and be eligible to operate a UT owned vehicle. Class “C” Operator's Driver's License. If not currently a Texas resident, must obtain a Texas Driver's License within 30 days after entering Texas as a new resident. Must meet certain prerequisites established by the Office of the Director of Police. Must be able to provide creditable testimony in a court of law. This position is classified as security-sensitive and thereby subject to the provisions of Section 51.215, Texas Education Code.
