Job Summary
Student Research Assistant positions are available starting Fall 2022 to
assist economics faculty in research projects on regional economic development
and public policy. Students applying for this position should have interest in
learning and applying analytical and problem-solving tools. Duties and
responsibilities include:
Review journal articles on urban and regional economic development with
focus on public policies issues, such as, education, environment, health,
housing, supply chain, transportation & logistics.
Collect data, create spreadsheets and databases.
Conduct statistical computations and data analysis.
Prepare PPT presentations
Students interested in solving community development issues of underserved
population are strongly encouraged to apply.
Education
Minimum 60 credit hours of undergraduate courses.
Core Competencies
Requires strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills, as
well as proficiency in data entry, database management, and Microsoft
Excel.
Previous experience with statistical packages is a plus.
