The Central Heating Plant maintains all heating, air conditioning, hot water, ventilation, and refrigeration services as well as overseeing the proper functioning of all elevators on campus. We also answer after hours calls and provide service, as needed, and are a 24/7 operation. We are a part of the Administration & Finance division which provides essential services to our campus, local, state, federal and international customers. We are responsible for human, physical, financial and technical resources. As professionals, we navigate systems in a collaborative and sensitive way to assist the College in achieving its educational mission. The work schedule for this position is rotating shifts.
Examples of Duties & Responsibilities:
This position will be responsible for the operation, repair, and maintenance of equipment and systems including pumps, high temperature hot water generators, high temperature hot water boilers and auxiliary heating system equipment. The operation, repair and routine maintenance of mechanical and electrical equipment providing heat, ventilation, air conditioning and electrical distribution is also included. Required Qualifications:
Must be eligible for permanent appointment to this title pursuant to civil service law.
