During the first 3 months of his/her thesis, the student will be in charge of
the microfabrication of nanochips at the CEA Upstream Technology Platform.
Then, back to SyMMES/CREAB, he/she will be in charge of the synthesis of
pyrrole-antibody and ruthenium-antibody conjugates according to existing
protocols. He/she will use wire electrodes to set up electrofunctionalization
and electrochemiluminescence and will benefit from the team's solid experience
in electrochemistry (9 months). At the end of the first year, once the first
biofunctionalization results are obtained, the fabrication of more elaborate
devices with nanochannel alignments will be undertaken. Then, the
functionalization of the nanochannels with antibodies will be undertaken and
will result in a set of functionalized nanochannels at the end of the second
year. These can be used to detect the passage of a protein by
electrochemiluminescence. If successful, the first stimulation tests on a
single cell, placed in a microreactor upstream of the nanochannels, will be
undertaken during the last six months before the writing of the manuscript.
