What does this role do?
The University of Notre Dame is currently hiring for the position of Pilot in Command to be a member of our flight team. This a unique opportunity to use your existing skills as a pilot while playing a vital role in helping Notre Dame achieve its goals. This position provides air transportation as pilot in command and second in command on the University aircraft. This involves transporting University colleagues in a safe, secure and comfortable manner and in a way that reflects positively on the reputation and image of Notre Dame at all times and with the highest levels of service and confidentiality. Requires night and weekend flying. Secondary duties are assigned to each pilot as needed.
What qualities will make you successful in Campus Safety and University Operations?
Minimum Qualifications
Total Flying Hours: 1500; Total Turbine Flying Hours 1000; Total Pilot-in- Command: 500
FAA Airline Transport Pilot Certification; FAA Medical Certificate First Class; FAA Restricted Radiotelephone Operator Permit. Bachelor's degree and 7 or more years of experience.
Must live within, or be willing to relocated to, one hour of South Bend International Airport.
Preferred Qualifications
Total Flying Hours: 2500; Total Turbine Flying Hours 1500; Total Pilot-in- Command: 1000
Type rated in at least one jet airplane.
