Professor Valeri Petkov in the Department of Physics at Central Michigan
University (CMU) is seeking a post-doctoral research fellow in the area of
experimental structure studies on quantum materials and materials for battery
applications. This is a grant-funded appointment. The initial appointment will
begin on or around October 1, 2022, and extends to May 31, 2023; the extension
of the position is contingent upon the continuation of the grant funding. The
position comes with a competitive salary and benefits.
Ph.D. in Physics, Chemistry or Materials Science, synchrotron x-ray and/or
neutron diffraction, atomic pair distribution, and Rietveld analysis.
ABD's (all but dissertation) may apply, but Ph.D. must be completed prior to
the start of the position.
