Phlebotomist (at the rank of Laboratory Assistant) in the School of Public Health (Ref: 523573) (to commence as soon as possible on one-year temporary basis or a two-year fixed terms basis as full-time staff, or on 6-month temporary part-time basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)
Applicants should have completed Form 5 and be a registered phlebotomist in Hong Kong. They should have a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including fluent Cantonese). They should be organized, responsible, and able to work independently as well as in a team. Experience in community- based research studies is highly preferred.
The appointee will assist in a range of ongoing community field studies on infectious disease epidemiology and/or vaccine trials. He/She will perform venepuncture in outreach centres, assist in participant recruitment and follow-up activities, and perform other duties as assigned. A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits as applicable. The appointment on fixed terms will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% basic salary.
