The Language Computation and Cognition (LaCC) Lab at the Technion is recruiting graduate students!
We study language from an interdisciplinary perspective with the aim of advancing the scientific understanding of human language processing, improving natural language processing, and creating new applications for reading and language learning. To this end, we draw on theory from linguistics and cognitive science, develop computational models, and carry out large-scale behavioral (e.g. eyetracking) and neuroimaging (e.g. MEG and EEG) experiments.
We are looking for bright and highly motivated Masters and PhD students whose interests align closely with the research topics of the lab. Successful applicants are expected to have strong programming skills, interest in language and experience in one or more of the following areas: natural language processing, computational linguistics, linguistics, cognitive science, neuroscience and artificial intelligence. Please get in touch with Yevgeni Berzak [email protected] if interested. In your email, please explain your interest and provide 1) a CV, 2) transcripts, and 3) information on relevant projects (e.g. reports, papers) if available.
