Description

  • Organisation/Company: CNRS
  • Research Field: Biological sciences Neurosciences
  • Researcher Profile: First Stage Researcher (R1)
  • Application Deadline: 30/09/2022 23:59 - Europe/Brussels
  • Location: France › BORDEAUX
  • Type Of Contract: Temporary
  • Job Status: Full-time
  • Hours Per Week: 35
  • Offer Starting Date: 01/12/2022
  • Created on January 1, 2011, the Interdisciplinary Institute of Neuroscience (IINS) is a joint research unit attached to the CNRS and the University of Bordeaux. With 160 people in 14 teams, IINS combines multidisciplinary skills to study the molecular and cellular mechanisms involved in brain activity. The Institute develops innovative methods in imaging, chemistry, physiology and computer science. As a component of Bordeaux Neurocampus, IINS is one of the major actors of the neuroscience community in Aquitaine.

The project focuses on understanding the interactions between inflammatory mechanisms and susceptibility to autism. The main mission will be to study on a model of autism linked to a mutation in the Shank3 gene, how inflammation tends to modify the properties of synaptic transmission by studying the co-organization of different types of glutamate receptors by optical and electrophysiological techniques. The ultimate goal of this work is to understand the interaction during the phases of synaptic maturation between the inflammatory response and the genetic susceptibility to autism. The recruited person will perform super-resolution microscopy techniques such as dSTORM and uPAINT to understand the nano-organization of membrane receptors. There will also be electrophysiological acquisitions on both cultured neurons and brain slices. There will also be the establishment of human differentiated neuron culture.
