The muon EDM project at PSI is looking for a
PhD Studentin fundamental muon physics to work on the search for a muon electric dipole moment
Your tasksThe search for the muon electric dipole moment is searching for a signal of beyond- Standard-Model physics. You will setup and work on a precursor experiment demonstrating novel techniques and deploying for the first time the frozen-spin method.
You will study and design the electric field electrodes inside the solenoid to experimental demonstrate the frozen-spin technique. For this, you will:
