  • Subjects Wireless Communication Description Do you have a passion for innovation and research? Do you want to push wireless communication and networking boundaries in one of the top engineering schools in Germany? As a part of an international team, you'll investigate and develop new solutions for Beyond 5G/6G systems. You'll have the chance to work across disciplines on the latest challenges of wireless systems in the area of mmWave V2X communication, privacy-aware wireless sensing, resilient networking, communication for UAVs or software-defined radio (SDR) prototyping. Do you enjoy the theoretical treatment of complex problems using the latest machine learning and optimization techniques? Or do you have experience in prototyping wireless systems and want to leverage your skills for designing, building, and analyzing future wireless systems? You'll have a chance to pursue your research (theoretical or experimental) within one of our PhD positions. Working across disciplines, our team has joint projects with top international research institutions and industry leaders in telecommunications, including Nokia, NEC, and NI.     Required expertise: We are looking for candidates with a background in at least one of the following domains in the context of wireless networking/communications: • Reconfigurable Intelligent Surfaces • Applied machine learning techniques • Mathematical modeling and optimization • Resilience-by-design or security-by-design • SDR-based wireless prototyping • UAV-based mobile networks

    General requirements: • Excellent track record in Master and Bachelor degree • Strong analytical and implementation skills • Strong programming skills (C, C++, MATLAB, Python, etc) • Fluent in English (written and spoken)
