The Department of Pediatrics at the University of North Carolina School of
Medicine is seeking an open rank, fixed term, clinical faculty position to
practice in our multi-specialty academic practice in Wilmington, NC. This team
is part of an innovative partnership between UNC Health, UNC School of
Medicine and Novant Health to provide specialty care to children from
communities throughout southeastern and coastal NC The Novant Health – New
Hanover Regional Medical Center (NH-NHRMC) facility is a full spectrum
community-based, multispecialty practice and a children's hospital that
includes a 45 bed Level III NICU, Pediatric Intensive Care Unit and inpatient
unit. The faculty member will also be expected to develop and perform clinical
activities in surrounding outreach locations in Southeastern NC.
As a top-tier academic medical center, UNC Children's upholds a four-tiered
mission to “CARE,” aligning clinical care, advocacy, research, and education
to deliver world-class family-centered care. The UNC Division of Pediatric
Pulmonology in Chapel Hill is nationally known as a center of excellence for
care of children with complex airway and lung diseases. Through the
partnership between Novant Health and UNC Children's, NH-NHRMC will become the
tertiary care referral hospital for children in Coastal and Southeastern NC.
Additionally, there will be ongoing expansion of educational opportunities
with medical students, other health profession students, and residents. Though

Pediatric Pulmonology. Sleep medicine certification is preferred but not

The candidate must be board certified / eligible in Pediatric Pulmonology.
