The Program Director of the Masters, Pathologists' Assistant program is part
of the Department of Clinical Laboratory and Medical Imaging Sciences at the
Rutgers School of Health Professions. The Program Director will be responsible
for the development of the masters-level program from concept to
implementation, including approvals associated with the School of Health
Professions, Rutgers Biomedical and Health Sciences, the State of New Jersey,
and National Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory Science (NAACLS).
Once the program is open, the Program Director, in partnership with the
Department Chair, will be responsible leading and overseeing all
administrative aspects of the program. The Program Director will also be
active in teaching, scholarship, and service.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Graduate of a NAACLS accredited Pathologists' Assistant Program.
Advanced degree (masters or doctoral, doctoral degree preferred).
Current ASCP-BOC certification as a Pathologists' Assistant, or a board-
certified pathologist, anatomic pathology board certification, preferred.
Prior evidence of success in core mission areas of teaching, clinical
service, and scholarship.
Knowledge of education methods, and current accreditation and
certification procedures, demonstrate knowledge and proficiency in
Pathologists' Assistant practice, and the ability to teach effectively at
the appropriate level.
Prior experience in academic administration strongly preferred.
Candidate must have effective oral and written communication and interpersonal
skills; computer literacy with Microsoft Office bundle ( Word, Excel,
PowerPoint) and experience with online Learning Management Systems; be a
responsive team player who thrives in environments requiring the ability to
effectively prioritize and manage multiple concurrent projects.
