Pastor Developer
Job Description:Living Waters Christian Fellowship is a small charismatic congregation, meaning that we fully expect the Holy Spirit and his gifts to be functioning in our everyday lives. We are also a sacramental congregation, meaning that we see God as being active in baptism and holy communion. We are looking for a pastor who will preach the word of God faithfully, leading the congregation in lives of faith, including discovering and developing their spiritual gifts, and conduct the business of the church. That business includes the pastoral functions of administering the sacraments, performing weddings and funerals, and offering counseling.
On the developmental side, we are a small congregation in a growing community. We need a pastor who can organize outreach to younger families.
Living Waters is non denominational, but belongs to the ARC (Alliance of Renewing Churches). We are seeking someone who has training and experience in ministry, has been ordained by a recognizable Christian group, and has a heart for and can relate to the growing families in the area.
Qualifications:
College or master's degree in ministry or ministry related field.
Five years experience in ministry.
A heart for development ministry.
Energy and enthusiasm for reaching the generations.
Someone who enjoys small town living. The town is built on a lake with parks and a beach. We are 35 miles from a major metropolis, have an elementary school in town (7 miles to Middle/Highschool), and it's 15 minutes to the nearest Walmart.
