The University of North Texas (UNT) Student Health and Wellness Center is a full-service medical center offering general wellness and specialty medical care to all UNT students. We are staffed with licensed physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, certified lab technologists, psychiatric nurse practitioners, licensed nurses, and medical assistants.

Position Summary

This position is responsible for providing care for patients with psychiatric/mental health conditions in accordance with guidelines and generally accepted standards of care. Duties include clinical assessment/evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, and management of patients; prescribing appropriate psychotropic medications; completing accurate medical records for patients in the electronic medical record system; and participating in peer reviews.

Minimum Qualifications

Medical degree from an accredited medical school and successful completion of an accredited residency program in psychiatry; Board Certification or Board Eligible in psychiatry from a recognized board of the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS) or American Osteopathic Association (AOA).

Preferred Qualifications

Previous experience in college health.

Required License / Registration / Certification

Work Schedule

Approximately 19 hours per week between the hours of 8 am and 5 pm Monday through Friday.
