Job Description:

The School of Public Health (SPH) at the University at Albany is seeking to hire part-time/adjunct lecturers for undergraduate and master-level courses in Nursing. Applications will be accepted and reviewed on an ongoing basis.

The School plans to launch an RN to BS completion program and fully online Master's in Nursing program, both with a focus on Population Health. Sample class topics include: Health Assessment and Health Promotion, Quality and Safety in Nursing, Informatics and Technology in Nursing, Evidence Based Practice in Nursing, Theoretical Foundations of Nursing Science, Nursing Research Methods, Health Care Policy and Systems Leadership. Opportunities exist for both on-campus and fully online courses. Successful applicants will receive teaching assignments based on the candidate's expertise and/or contributions to our programs.

  • A masters or doctoral degree in nursing, education, or related field from college/university accredited by the Department of Education.
  • Previous teaching experience in academic and/or clinical settings.
  • Unrestricted license to practice as a registered nurse in NYS.
