The Department of History invites applications for an instructor to teach to
begin spring 2022.
HIST 101 (History of Civilizations I)
HIST 102 (History of Civilizations II)
HIST 103 (World since 1900)
HIST 104 (American History to 1865)
HIST 105 (American History since 1865)
All positions are for one semester in the first instance, with the possibility
of renewal as departmental needs require. Preference given to those holding an
M.A. or Ph.D. at time of appointment.
Instructors are expected to utilize Blackboard to submit course syllabus,
order textbooks or other reading materials, provide developmentally meaningful
feedback, present engaging learning experiences, respond to students in a
timely manner, communicate regularly with designated academic program
director, submit final grades within university deadlines, and comply with
other requests as a part-time lecturer such as completing an attestation
disclosure form, along with completing annual evaluations.
MA in History or related historical field, experience teaching undergraduates
