Arts & Sciences-Curriculum/Instruction department is seeking an instructor who can teach one section of QSX 111 Queer Histories, Communities, and Politics (3 credits) during the fall 2022 semester. This is one of two core courses for the LGBT Studies minor (QSX 111 and QSX 112).
QSX 111 explores and analyzes lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender histories, communities, and politics from the ancient past to the contemporary, global present through an interdisciplinary reading of research, theory, memoir, biography, fiction, and documentary film.
Resources are available to support the instructor as they design their version of the course (e.g., sample syllabi, mentors).
This course meets biweekly and enrolls about 55-60 students. There is a Teaching Assistant assigned to the course.
Qualifications
PhD in relevant field; knowledge of LGBTQ Studies; undergraduate teaching experience; ability
to supervise and mentor a TA.
