This part time faculty position would be responsible for teaching one or all
of the assigned Construction Technology Management (CTM) courses. We are
recruiting for the following in-person courses:
CTM 111 – Plumbing (3 Credit Hours)
CTM 130 – Blue Print Reading and Estimating (3 Credit Hours)
CTM 133 – Solar Green House Design (1 Credit Hour)
CTM 134 - Rain Water Harvesting (1 Credit Hour)
CTM 150 – Basic Electrical Theory (AC/DC introduction) (3 Credit Hours)
CTM 151 – House Wiring (3 Credit Hours)
CTM 211 – International Residential Code (3 Credit Hours)
CTM 224 - Concrete & Masonry Systems (3 Credit Hours)
CTM 235 – Solar Home Design (CADD experience preferred) (3 Credit Hours)
CTM 250 – Innovative Building Materials (3 Credit Hours)
CTM 253 – Plane Surveying & building Layout (3 Credit Hours)
CTM 260 – Green Building I (3 Credit Hours)
CTM 288 – Construction Supervision & Scheduling (3 Credit Hours)

Teaching assignments may include alternative delivery methods (such as hybrid
or online instruction), day, evening, and weekend classes, and may be at
multiple sites. Part-time faculty must be able to work collegially in a team
environment. This is a temporary, non-benefits eligible position. Employment
is determined on a course to course, semester to semester basis.
Initial hiring pay is $887 per load hour (Tier A). Instructors who
teach 90 load hours at CCC are eligible to move to Tier B, which pays at a
rate of $922 per load hour.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Teach assigned courses, adhering to course outlines and student learning
Prepare and implement syllabi in accordance with college procedures and
Keep and submit all essential instructional records according to the
College calendar including reporting grades and attendance.
Notify Deans and Academic Operations Coordinators in case of absence from
class. Work to find substitute to cover class when at all possible.
Follow all college policies and procedures including information on Letter
of Intent (semester contract).
Respond to student inquiries in a timely manner.
Utilize Learning Management System (Canvas) to at least the minimum
threshold as indicated in college procedures.
Check CCC email and respond to inquiries in a timely manner.
Attend college meetings as required. This includes New Faculty Orientation
upon hire and a beginning of semester all faculty meeting.
Participate in student assessment and relevant program assessment as
directed by the Dean or Vice President.
Remain current in practices, trends, and research related to discipline
Actively engages Assessment of Courses and works to engage in college wide
Follow the same accepted standards of conduct as the full-time faculty as
described in applicable administrative procedures which relate to
satisfactory service and conduct becoming a faculty member.
Perform other duties of a similar nature or level.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Ability to teach assigned course effectively. Knowledge of the subject area,
computer and related technology (including Learning Management System).
Ability to maintain professional ethics and confidentiality of students and
staff. Ability to support and promote the mission, values, purposes, and
strategic plan of the College. Ability to work in a culturally diverse and
team environment. Ability to integrate subject area with other related
curricula. Knowledge of the applicable state and federal laws, such as Family
Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA).
1. Master's degree (or higher) in the field of Construction Technology
Any of the following areas is within the teaching field of Construction
Construction Management (CM), Project Management (PM), Structural
Engineer, Civil Engineer, Architect, Building Science, Building
Information Modeling, Construction and Building Inspector, Solar Engineer.
2. Bachelor's Degree in any of the areas noted above and 2 years related
3. 5 years directly related industry experience, Accredited Apprenticeship
Training program, Contractor licenses or industry related certificates.

Part-time employees working 20 hours or more per week for at least 20 weeks
within the fiscal year (July 1-June 30) are eligible to participate in the
Arizona State Retirement System and receive tuition waiver benefits.
