Indiana University, Department of Philosophy, Bloomington, IN. Oscar R. Ewing Associate Professor, tenured, beginning August 2022.

Basic Qualifications

The Department of Philosophy at Indiana University, Bloomington, invites applications for an Oscar R. Ewing Associate Professor of Philosophy, a tenured position at the level of Associate Professor, to start August 1, 2022. Open. AOC: Open. The normal teaching load is 4 courses annually, divided equally between Fall and Spring Semester. A strong commitment to excellence in teaching and strong record of research is expected. A Ph.D. in Philosophy is required.

Applicants will enter in the names and contact details of referees in their application. Referees may provide letters of recommendation in the following ways:

1) Referees can upload their letter directly to the applicant's People Admin application. Applicant will enter in referee's name and email into application and a link will be sent via email to the referee requesting their letter of recommendation, after applicant has submitted their application.

2) If applicant uses Interfolio, applicant can request the letter of recommendation be sent directly to their People Admin application by Interfolio. Please search their online help at for instructions or contact for assistance.
