The Moody College of Communication at the University of Texas at Austin invites applications for an open-rank, full-time, tenured, or tenure-track Public Relations faculty member. The candidate should be focused on the areas of crisis and/or risk communication, corporate social advocacy/corporate social responsibility, and/or reputation.

The candidate will be housed in the Moody College of Communication with an appointment in the Advertising & Public Relations school. The candidate should have a research program that displays excellence in applying strategic communication and communication theories in the study of crisis and/or risk communication, corporate social advocacy/corporate social responsibility, and/or reputation. In addition to teaching graduate seminars, the ability to teach large undergraduate lecture classes and web-based courses are preferred.

Qualifications

Applicants must have completed a Ph.D. at the time of the appointment. The applicant's Ph.D. must be in communication or a related field. Professional experience working in public relations, corporate communication, or strategic communication (within agency, nonprofit, government, or corporate organizations) preferred.
