Online instructors are employees of OLL Services LLC. The LLC provides online support for educational institutions affiliated with The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, including Brigham Young University-Idaho, BYU Pathway Worldwide, BYU Hawaii, and Ensign College.

Online Environment OLL Services LLC is supported and guided by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Those hired through this employment posting will primarily instruct courses for Brigham Young University-Idaho and BYU Pathway Worldwide. Online instructors employed by the LLC are expected to support the missions of the institutions to which they are assigned to teach. All employees are required to agree to maintain the standards of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints as defined by the Institutional Honor Codes and other applicable policies, both on and off campus, 24 hours a day. Position Summary This is an interest list posting for those interested in teaching Theater courses. These courses include:

  • TA 115: Introduction to Theatre This course is non-performance oriented. It is designed to develop discriminating appreciation of theatre in relation to the other fine arts. Fundamentals of play analysis and dramatic structures are included. Many facets of theatrical production and the artists who accomplish them are discussed.
  • TA 116: Dramatic Structure and Analysis This course studies the fundamentals of play analysis and dramatic theory. It is recommended to be completed before Sophomore year.
  • TA 401: Theatre History I The first half of theatre history: the origins of theatre, Greek, Roman, Medieval, Italian Renaissance, Spanish, Elizabethan and Asian. An exploration of what in the past (during the times and places specified) has made theatre what it is today.
  • TA 402: Theatre History II The second half of theatre history: Renaissance and Baroque, French and Italian, English 1642-1800, 18th- Century European and American, Romanticism, Realism, Contemporary, and Postmodern Theatre. This course covers the development of theatre after Shakespeare's day to the present, discussing the arrival of new styles, showing the influence all of these time periods and how the people involved have shaped the theatre we know today.
  • Online adjunct faculty mentor students and facilitate teaching and learning. They uphold the mission, values, and standards of BYU-Idaho and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. They support the BYU-Idaho Learning Model and participate in an online teaching group.

    As teaching opportunities for the course arise, interest list applicants selected for further review will be asked to participate in our interview process (this does not require travel to Rexburg).

    Work Schedule

    Online adjunct faculty work from home. The schedule is flexible but should equate to approximately 3.5 hours per week for each course credit hour.

Specifically regarding dress and grooming, employees should maintain a clean and well-cared-for appearance. Hairstyles should be neat, avoiding extreme styles or colors. Men should keep their hair trimmed above the collar and the ear. Sideburns should not extend below the earlobe or onto the cheek. Men are also expected to be clean shaven; beards are not acceptable. Mustaches, if worn, should be neatly trimmed and may not extend beyond or below the corners of the mouth. Earrings and other body piercings are unacceptable. Women should not have excessive ear piercing (more than one per ear) and other body piercings are not acceptable.
