  • Electron microscopy: Relationship between structure, chemistry and electrical stresses In PCM cells memories applications

The candidate will take part of a very ambitious research project founded by STMicroelectronics. The aim of this project is to develop a new material used in memories applications and understand the relationship between the microstructure and the electrical properties at different scale.

The aim of the postdoc will be to characterize the chemistry and the structure of this material electrically stressed. He/she will need to formulate the best characterization strategy by combining the appropriate microscopy techniques depending on the chosen experimental conditions at the appropriate scale from a macroscopic down to an atomic level. Thus, the candidate will work in the University microscopy centers campus (CP2M and CIMPACA) where many types of equipment at the cutting edge of technology are available (SEM, FIB, TEM). Therefore, he/she will need a strong experience in various advanced techniques of electron microscopy.

Environment : The candidate will work in the research group µTEN of Professor Ahmed Charaï, which is part of the Institut des Matériaux et de Microelectronique de Provence (IM2NP Lab). The project will be conducted in collaboration with an extended and experienced multidisciplinary research team and the industrial partner.
