Responsibilities : Global Programs Coordinator Full Job Description Responsible for the strategic financial planning and operation of self-funded Global Programs. This position will develop, manage, and support initiatives for global education at UL Lafayette to include study abroad, semester abroad, virtual, and global at home programs with a focus in developing new opportunities in Latin America. Management includes development, financial planning, and implementation of processes and procedures to efficiently implement the mission. This position will work cooperatively in support of other units of the Division of Global Engagement. Key Responsibilities/Essential Job Functions:

Develop financial plan and strategies to increase the reach of global programs to a greater student population while ensuring the self-sustainability and growth of the self-funded operation. Develop, plan, and support all global education including faculty-led study abroad, semester abroad and global at home programs. Develop and implement new approaches to global education. Develop new opportunities abroad in Latin America. Ability to lead or co-lead a group of students in Central America. Initiate and execute outreach initiatives and recruit faculty and staff to lead faculty-led study abroad programs. Serve as the main point of contact for all UL Lafayette faculty leading international programs and provide support with education abroad life cycle activities as needed. Lead on risk mitigation training, planning and serves as first contact in crisis situations and works closely with administration when crises arise. Interact directly with foreign universities, exchange partners, third-party program providers, and other entities that host students and faculty abroad. Oversee marketing for study abroad programs including digital media as well as website design and maintenance. Oversees faculty/site director training and communicates policies and procedures to program directors and faculty. Ensures that study abroad program directors and instructors understand timelines and risk mitigation. Serves as the primary contact and source of information for all study abroad, semester abroad and global at home programs. Manage admissions processes, including advising, application review, admissions decisions, and enrollment retention. Advise students on all aspects of program; conduct individual advising meetings and facilitate program information sessions as needed. Coordinate post-acceptance process: communicate regularly with accepted students, prepare program-specific informational and pre-departure materials, provide detailed immigration requirements and instructions, conduct pre- departure and re-entry programming, and assist with program evaluations. Stay current with country-specific visa regulations; provide accurate guidance and assist with visa processing. Maintain, manage, and track written communication with program participants. Oversee creation of monthly reports. Track and process monthly financial reports and payment requests. Manage and maintain Pre-departure Pages for all programs in assigned portfolio, ensuring they are accurately updated and clearly articulated each semester. Pre-departure pages and In-Country Guides should be reviewed regularly with site staff to keep information consistent. Collaborate with relevant colleagues to update all program materials (website, one-sheets, brochures, outgoing email communications etc.) as needed. Assist with projects/issues as needed; including academics, program development, health & safety, finance and operations. In addition, communicate with advisors and colleagues in other departments both on and off campus as needed. Communicate with program participants and site staff as appropriate. Maintain familiarity with UL Lafayette's portfolio of programs, facilitate general advising sessions, and staff walk-in hours. In coordination with the Associate Director of Global Engagement, participate in recruiting initiatives including orientation, fall and spring Study Abroad table fairs, and information sessions for prospective students, class visits, and other events as required. Communicate regularly with Executive Director of Global Engagement for briefings and conversations on financial planning, financial forecasting, and current state of accounts. Communicate regularly with Associate Director of Global Engagement, as well as program sites, about enrollment numbers, admissions, and pre-departure. Perform all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications: MBA/MS in Management or MS in Finance plus 1 year of related work experience required Fluency in Spanish required International experience abroad strongly preferred Excellent Microsoft Office skills and database applications required Excellent public speaking, presentation and writing skills are essential, along with managerial, organizational, and administrative skills; high level of self-sufficiency; personal and professional knowledge of international education and UL Lafayette study abroad programs Strong interpersonal skills. Tact, diplomacy, and judgment necessary in dealing with others Must be able to balance competing priorities and manage work cycles that are tied to the admissions calendar and includes intense work times Occasional domestic/international travel and irregular hours may be required Driver's license required for occasional off-campus recruiting A cover letter and resume is required for consideration.
