Johnson County Community College is seeking clinical instructors to teach in
the areas of adult med/surg or rehab nursing.
The nursing faculty will be responsible for working with students in the
clinical setting one day a week. This individual may be asked to be available
occasionally for on campus activities as needed.
Master's degree in nursing from an accredited college or university.
Candidates with a BSN and requisite experience will be considered
An active Kansas & Missouri RN license (if only sole state in KS, will
consider but if hired, candidate will need to seek licensure in MO or NLC)
Current nursing experience in the area being taught
A minimum of three years full-time or equivalent nursing experience within the
last five years
Ability to multitask; process multiple sources of information quickly
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Ability to work closely with students, collaborating with staff nurses, to
ensure a quality, hands-on learning experience in the maternal-child nursing
This role requires supervision of students and excellent communication skills
both verbally and in writing with weekly evaluations
One to three years relevant teaching experience in nursing education
