Position Title Nontenure Line Faculty Pool – College of Health Professions

The College of Health seeks to develop a pool of candidates for possible temporary/nontenured faculty to teach in Clinical Laboratory Science, Communication Disorders, Health Administration, Health Information Management, St. David's School of Nursing, Physical Therapy, Radiation Therapy, and Respiratory Care. Temporary/nontenured faculty are appointed to teach one to four courses per semester. Teaching appointments are based upon student demand on a semester by semester basis. Eligibility for annual reappointment is contingent upon satisfactory annual performance evaluations during the term period, in addition to continuity of funding and departmental/school/program need.

Successful candidates may teach at the San Marcos and Round Rock campuses and/or online, depending on the needs of the academic department.

Required Qualifications

Specific educational requirements vary by position, but a minimum of a master's degree with 18 graduate hours in the teaching field is generally required.

Preferred Qualifications

Previous teaching experience is preferred.
